In a matter one week I moved to another state, unpacked my home, traveled to New York for Fashion week, and started a new job. To say that A LOT has been going on would be an understatement, but through out it all I had a smile on my face. People ask me all the time where I get my joy, and I always answer with one response, It’s God!
The fact that I am blessed enough to wake up every morning in my right mind, have the energy to wash my own body and not have to rely on a care taker, can drive myself to work… have a job…
Praise break on that one! So while I lived in Alabama I struggled for 2 years to find a job! Your girl has two master’s degrees and valuable work experience but no one would even call me in for an interview let alone hire me! When I tell you that I traveled down to Texas on a Tuesday, interviewed on Wednesday, and had a job by Thursday!! Won’t He do it!
… have the ability to stand on my two legs and interact with people all day, can come home at night to my bestfriend/husband, open up my cabinets that are full of food, use my fully functioning hands to prepare a meal, enjoy spending time with family while in my good health, and get up and do it all the next day is nothing but a blessing!! God is just too good not to constantly smile and praise Him!
The next time your feeling down or in the dumps, I urge you to focus in on what my husband calls your “miracle memory.” Think back on all the things God has done for you. That job, that was Him. Those clothes, yep He did it. That man that is being hand crafted by God Himself that will soon be gracing your presence, yep, you guessed it, He did that too! When you think back on the goodness of God you can’t help but be happy.
